2230 settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque during Passover holiday
Thousands of settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque during the Jewish Passover holiday.
Wadi Hilweh Information Center reported that 2,230 extremists stormed Al-Aqsa during the current week "from Sunday until Thursday noon" (21-25 April), during the morning incursions period "7:30 to 11:00" and the afternoon hours “13:30 – 14:30.
The center reported that Thursdaywitnessed the largest number of incursions; 724 settlers.
Among the intruders into Al-Aqsa during “Passover” was the Minister of Agriculture in the occupation government Uri Ariel, and a number of "members of the board of the so-called Union of the Temple".
The center said that the Israeli chief of police and senior officers also stormed Al-Aqsa last Wednesday, coinciding with the settlers' incursions.
Dozens of settlers performed their prayers inside the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, especially in the area of Bab Al-Rahma which overlooks the Dome of the Rock.
During the past two days, the Israeli police have banned five Jerusalemites from entering Al-Aqsa for varying periods between 4 days and 6 months, including a woman and the director of the Islamic Museum at Al-Aqsa Mosque.
