Injured with fractures...releasing Mrs. Hayat Zaghal on conditions
Mrs. Hayat Zaghal was injured by shoulder fractures and various bruises as a result of the attack during her arrest on Friday. Zaghal explained that the Israeli occupation forces beat her severely during her arrest from the Ras Al-Amoud neighborhood in Silwan on Friday evening, and beat her husband and two children, Ibrahim and Hussein, and arrested them all.
She explained that the Israeli police released her at dawn Saturday and her son Hussein with a NIS 5000 bail, and house-arrest for 5 days, while extending the detention of her husband Ahmed and their son Ibrahim.
"My son Ibrahim went to buy a watermelon from the grocery store. When he returned home, he was surprised by the forces in Ras Al-Amoud. He ran quickly and fell to the ground as he explained. Within minutes, the occupation forces stormed the house but Ibrahim wasn't home." She said.
The Israeli occupation forces arrested Ibrahim's father and detained him at Ras Al-Amoud roundabout inside the police vehicle.
After his son arrived to turn himself in, the soldiers assaulted him and his mother, her son Hussein and the youths in the area. Hussein was injured and bruised after a severe beating. Wadi Hilweh Information Center learned that the Israeli police released the young man, Ibrahim Yassin Zaghl, on condition of house-arrest and deportation from the city of Jerusalem for ten days.
