Storming Al-Aqsa Mosque…assaulting worshippers…evicting the courtyards…arrests…expulsions from Al-Aqsa
On Friday early morning, the Israeli occupation forces stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque after the Dawn Prayer and assaulted worshippers with beating and rubber-coated bullets to evacuate the courtyard of the Dome of the Rock.
Wadi Hilweh Information Center explained that the occupation forces stormed the mosque minutes after the end of the Dawn Prayer while thousands of worshippers (Men, women, youths and children were in Al-Aqsa courtyards, after responding to the calls to perform the Dawn prayer in Al-Aqsa and named it “Dawn of Dignity”.
The center added that the occupation forces surrounded the worshippers on the roof of the Dome of the Rock mosque after deploying in several points, and then chased them and beat them with batons, and rubber bullets, and forced them out of the mosque through Hutta Gate.
The center added that the occupation forces also chased worshipers outside of Hutta Gate and assaulted many of them.
A march started from Bab Al-Rahma chapel towards the courtyard of Al-Qibali mosque, up to the stairs leading to the courtyard of the Dome of the Rock. While the participants were chanting for Al-Aqsa, the occupation forces stormed the mosque and dispersed the participants by force.
Outside of Hutta Gate, the occupation forces moved those stationed at the gate away from it (they are expelled from Al-Aqsa for various periods) and prevented them from standing and being in the corridor leading to the mosque, so they prayed on the way between Lions Gate and Hutta Gate.
The forces also pushed and assaulted the worshipers, including an elderly worshiper, to prevent him from entering pastries into Al-Aqsa Mosque.
On Friday afternoon, the occupation forces arrested Munir Al-Basti, Mohammad Abu Shousha, Mohammad Al-Shawish, and two young men, while they were trying to enter Al-Aqsa through Al-Hadeed Gate.
Wadi Hilweh Information Center’s lawyer explained that among the detainees from the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque were Mansour Al-Tawil, Jihad Al-Shalabi, Khaled Al-Shalabi andQusai Mohammad; they were transferred to Al-Qishleh detention center.
The occupation forces also arrested Mohammad Jbareen, and released him on the condition that he be expelled from Al-Aqsa for a week, and to attend an interrogation after the expiry of the expulsion period.
Mohammad Sharifeh and Ibrahim Al-Natsheh were also arrested from Bab Hutta in the Old City of Jerusalem.
On Thursday, the occupation authorities expelled Yaccoub Al-Dabbagh from Al-Aqsa for 5 months, and Ahmed Derbas and Sami Fteiha for one week.
In the evening hours, the Israeli occupation forces released Al-Natsheh and Abu Shousha, on condition that they be expelled from Al-Aqsa for a week and attend an interrogation after the expiry of the expulsion period.
