Jabal Al-Mukabber- Occupation authorities force two Jerusalemites to self-demolish their homes
Two Jerusalemites from the village of Jabal Al-Mukabber, south of Jerusalem, self-demolished their homes following an order by the occupation municipality, on the pretext of building without a permit.
Ammar Nassar
On Friday, Ammar Nassar started demolishing his house after emptying its contents.
The Nassar family explained that they have lived in the house for 8 years, and its area is about 60 square meters, and it housed 6 individuals, including 4 children.
Maher Nassar explained that the occupation municipal crewsarrived to the house and demanded the demolition of his brother Ammar's house and gave them until Tuesday to implement the decision, otherwise its bulldozers will do so and he must pay the demolition expenses.
Nassar added that the municipal crews came to the site of the houseto make sure that my brother Mohammed and I were able to demolish our house. Upon arrival, they asked us to demolish our third house for building without a permit.
Nassar added that 6 individuals became homeless after their house was demolished.
Ja’abees family
Sayel Ja'abees self-demolished his house in the village of Jabal Al-Mukabber, which was a “residential container”.
The family explained that Sayel dismantled the container and demolished the floor underneath it and its surroundings, knowing that it had been in existence for one year.
