The occupation municipality forced two Jerusalemite families to self-demolish their homes in Silwan and Jabal Al-Mukabber, while the occupation authorities continued to expel Jerusalemites away from Al-Aqsa, on the eve of allowing worshipers to re-enter Al-Aqsa after it was closed for two and a half months due to the spread of corona virus.

Bashir family was forced to self-demolish its home, after being threatened by the occupation municipality to impose a fine of 45,000 shekels on them, which is a "demolition fee" for the municipality's crews, mechanisms, and the forces accompanying them.
Musa Bashir explained that the family demolished his mother’s house, after 7 years of living in it, during which they tried to license it and paid more than 40,000 shekels in building violation fees, and attempts to delay and freeze the demolition.
Bashir's family of 6, including 3 children, became homeless after the house was demolished.
Silwan
Faris Al-Khalis was forced to self-demolish his under-construction house in Silwan, and he said: “There are no options for Jerusalemites to build with a license because there are no structural maps commensurate with the natural increase in the population and therefore homes are not licensed. The second option is to self-demolish your own home after threatening to impose fines. Both options are like a punishment for Jerusalemites, and this is the tax of steadfastness in the land. "
Arrests and expulsions from Al-Aqsa Mosque
The occupation intelligence arrested the head of the Supreme Islamic Authority Sheikh Ekrema Sabri after storming his house in Al-Sowaneh neighborhood in Jerusalem, and the Jerusalem activist Hanadi Al-Halawani was arrested while on her way to pray in the area of Lions Gate, and Mohammad Dakkaq after storming his house in Al-Thori neighborhood in Silwan.
The Occupation Intelligence released the detainees on the condition that they be expelled from Al-Aqsa for a week, and to come again to investigate the possibility of extending their expulsion from the mosque for several more months.
