Bulldozing lands in Issawiya and a self-demolition in Silwan
The occupation municipality bulldozed 14 Dunoms (14,000 square meters of land) in the village of Issawiya in Jerusalem, and demolished 5 barracks.
A member of the follow-up committee in the village, Mohammad Abu Al-Hummus, said that vehicles, military vehicles, and crews belonging to the occupation municipality stormed the village of Issawiya in the morning hours and began sweeping lands in the northern and eastern regions, and detained vehicles near the swept lands, and demolished five barracks, as well as confiscating sheep, horses and dogs.
In Silwan, Iyad Abu Sbeih emptied his house in preparation for self-demolition, after the Supreme Court approved the demolition order.
Abu Sbeih said: “Two weeks ago, I was surprised by the bulldozers of the occupation municipality that stormed the perimeter of the house and its crews began to empty it, and after going to the courts to ask for the legal time for the demolition notification, the lawyer was able with difficulty to extract a decision to postpone the demolition for a period of 21 days, during which we filed an appeal, but it was rejected today by the Supreme Court.
It is noteworthy that Iyad lives at the house with his parents, wife and six children.
