Extending the arrest of the governor of Jerusalem Adnan Gheith until Tuesday
The "Magistrate Court" extended on Thursday the arrest of Jerusalem governor Adnan Ghaith until Tuesday, pending an investigation.
Lawyer Rami Othman said that the judge extended the arrest of his client, Ghaith, until next Tuesday, asking the police to end the investigation during the last extension period.
He added that the charge against the governor is still confidential.
The occupation forces arrested the governor on the 19th of this month, after storming his house in the village of Silwan, and he was transferred to investigation in the cells of Ashkelon prison.
During the governor’s extension session, Jerusalemites organized a protest against the detention of the governor, during which time the forces arrested the secretary of the Fatah movement in Jerusalem, Shadi Mattour.
The occupation intelligence also summoned the deputy governor of Jerusalem, Abdullah Siam, and the deputy secretary of the Fatah movement in Jerusalem, Adel Abu Zneid, to investigate them.
