The Abbasi family empties two apartments before demolishing them
On Wednesday, the two brothers Khaled and Munir Abbasiemptied the contents of their homes in the village of Jabal Al-Mukabber, after the municipality refused to freeze the demolition order.
Khaled Abbasi explained that the municipality informed him of its final decision to demolish the two houses. He tried to postpone and freeze the decision, but his request was rejected.
Abbasi explained that the "two-story" building has been in existence since 2016, and the family managed to freeze the decision for the last period, and tried to license it and submitted the papers but to no avail.
Abbasi noted that the municipality imposed on him a fine of 70,000 shekels in 2019.
On the other hand, the occupation municipality’s bulldozers demolished parts of a commercial facility and its entrances in Al-Matar Street, north of Jerusalem, noting that its owner implemented the demolition decision on his own at the beginning of this month.
Yesterday, Saif Fayez Abdel-Latif, demolished his home in the town of Silwan.
The family explained that he began building the house 3 months ago, preparing it to move in.
