Al-Aqsa Mosque…Storming the minarets of Al-Aqsa and damaging the speakers’ wires
On Tuesday evening, the occupation forces stormed the minarets of Al-Aqsa Mosque and cut the speakers’ wires, concurrently with the Night and Al-Taraweeh prayers.
Sheikh Omar Al-Kiswani, director of Al-Aqsa Mosque, explained that what happened on Tuesday evening was that the police forces and border guards stormed the roof of Al-Aqsa and its minarets in Lions Gate, Al-Silsileh Gate, Al-Ghawanmeh Gate, and Dung Gate, and cut the speakers’ wires. This lasted until the end of the Al-Taraweeh prayer.
Al-Kiswani added that the call to prayer "Night and Al-Taraweeh" took place as usual, but through the internal speakers of Al-Aqsa only, while maintenance crews repaired what was sabotaged after the forces withdrew from the minarets site.
Sheikh Al-Kiswani denounced the attack, calling for a discussion of what happened internationally to put an end to such violations in Al-Aqsa.
In conjunction with the storming and sabotage of the speakers, celebrations took place in Al-Buraq Square.
