Video: The threat of displacement knocked on Fatima Salem door - Sheikh Jarrah
Fatima Salem. She was born in 1952, that is, before the occupation of Jerusalem.
I was born here in this house in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, I grew up, got married and gave birth here.
Today, her children live with her with their families and grandchildren.
The threat of displacement knocked on Fatima Salem door, after they received a decision to evacuate their house before the end of this month.
The first eviction decision was in 1988 and the family managed to freeze it - and in 2015 the eviction decision was renewed - and on the seventh of last month, an eviction decision was issued and the family received it two days before, i.e. a month after its issuance, and the court gave them less than a month to hand it over to the settlers, on the pretext of their ownership of the land knowing that the family is a protected tenant.
