Suppression, beating and arrest…dozens of arrests and injuries in Jerusalem
Repression and beatings, arrests and abuse, children crying, families searching for each other, and injuries in a scene that was repeated from Monday afternoon until evening hours, on a day when Palestinians from all Palestinian areas wanted to commemorate the Isra and Mi’raj in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the city of Jerusalem, quietly and in an atmosphere of faith on this anniversary.
Hundreds of Palestinians flocked to the city of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque, to commemorate the "Isra and Mi'raj", and the gates of the Old City and Al-Aqsa were crowded with families, young men and children from all Palestinian cities "cities of the 1948 lands and the West Bank." At noon, the forces started suppressing the Palestinians in the area of Damascus Gate and then spread to Nablus Street, Al-Musrara, Sultan Suleiman Street and Herods Gate.
The forces threw sound bombs and sprayed water indiscriminately in the streets of Jerusalem and the squares of Damascus Gate. They also beat the people with batons and pushed them to keep them away from the place, and fired rubber bullets, and the cavalry teams also pursued the people.
Injuries
The Red Crescent said that its crews dealt with 37 injuries, "8 of whom were taken to the hospital for treatment," explaining that among the injuries was a 6-month-old babythat was injured in the face by shrapnel of a sound grenade, and a girl with special needs who was also injured in the face.
The Wadi Hilweh Information Center stated that the 11-year-old girl, Munawar Burqan, was hit by a stun grenade that caused her fractures in the jaw, and as soon as she was injured, she fell to the ground and started bleeding from her face and mouth. It was found that she had a broken jaw, and then she was transferred to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital for surgery.
Arrests
The occupation forces carried out a large-scale arrest campaign in the Damascus Gate area, and severely beat the detainees during arrest and detention inside the observation rooms located at the entrances to Damascus Gate.
The information center explained that the forces held the detainees inside the observation rooms for more than half an hour, during which they were forced to sit on the ground after subjecting them to a physical search, then handcuffed them with plastic handcuffs and prevented them from moving or speaking, and they were beaten and yelled at.
The center added that most of the detainees are boys, whose ages ranged between 12 and 17 years.

The center added that the forces also arrested a boy in the late evening, and two women and two young menin the afternoon hours.
