Dozens of injuries…for the second consecutive Friday, clashes in Al-Aqsa
At dawn Friday, 27 Palestinians were injured with various injuries after the occupation forces stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque and attacked the fasting worshipers.
The Palestinian Red Crescent stated that they had dealt with 27 injuries, including two serious to moderate ones, and 11 injuries were transferred to the hospital for treatment.
Wadi Hilweh Information Center - Jerusalem monitored the injury of 3 photojournalists with rubber bullets, Ali Yassin in the neck, Muhammad Asho and Ahmed Sharif in the leg, during her work, and they monitored the confrontations in Al-Aqsa.
In addition, the Jerusalemite activist, Muhammad Abu al-Homs, was wounded by a rubber bullet in the leg.
The center explained that the forces stormed Al-Aqsa and stationed near the Al-Qibli prayer hall, and targeted the worshipers with rubber bullets, and sniper teams stationed on the roofs of Al-Silsileh Gate fired bullets directly at the worshipers.
Since last Friday, Al-Aqsa has witnessed daily incursions and confrontations, coinciding with the “Easter Feast” to secure the settlers’ incursions into the mosque, as they stormed it at dawn and last Friday morning, and dozens were injured on that day, and hundreds were arrested.Clashes and incursions resumed at dawn on Sunday, and over the past days, injuries and arrests were recorded from Al-Aqsa and its gates.
From Sunday until Thursday, the occupation forces imposed restrictions on the movement of worshipers inside Al-Aqsa during the period of the incursions, by spreading all over the Dome of the Rock to prevent people from walking along the “settler’s path”. On the other hand, the women held a sit-in and chanted God is Great in front of the settler groups, and were beaten and threatened.
As for the al-Qibli prayer hall, it was also besieged, and the youths were sprayed with pepper gas, and shot with rubber bullets, while they responded by firing fireworks, stones and knocking on the doors.
Meanwhile, 3,738 settlers stormed Al-Aqsa during the Passover holiday.
