June 28, 2022

On Tuesday evening , the occupation forces arrested a Palestinian youth from Al-Aqsa Mosque, under the pretext of "attempting to carry out a stabbing attack" against its members present at the Al-Majles Gate.

The Israeli occupation police said in a statement that the young man, "after trying to attack the policemen without injuries," fled towards Al-Aqsa.

Eyewitnesses explained that the occupation forces, with different teams and intelligence personnel, stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque through its gates, closed them and prevented entry to the mosque, and spread in large numbers on the roof of the Dome of the Rock and in the squares, and assaulted those present with pushing and beatings, and expelled some from Al-Aqsa.

Witnesses also explained that the occupation forces pursued and surrounded a young man while he was at the Hutta Gate, and assaulted him, then arrested him and took him outside Al-Aqsa through the Al-Silsileh Gate.

The occupation forces assaulted the young men who were at the gates of Al-Aqsa from the outside, and forcibly removed them from it.

The forces also closed the gates of the Old City and prevented entry to it
