The Occupation Court issued a decision approving the autopsy of the body of the martyr Muhammad Al-Shaham, and the lawyer of the Wadi Hilweh Information Center, Firas Al-Jabrini, said that the Magistrate’s Court agreed to conduct an autopsy through a medical team, in which a Palestinian doctor specialized in autopsy, chosen by the family, participates. The second item of the decision is to initiate an investigation in the circumstances of the assassination of the martyr, while the third item is the obligation of Al-Mahash (the unit authorized to investigate the members of the special police who assassinated the martyr) to inform the family who is the authority authorized to return the body and determine its whereabouts, and the fourth item is to enable the family to take a farewell look at their son, diagnose him and identify him before autopsy process.

Muhammad Ibrahim Al-Shaham, 21, was martyred at dawn on Monday, after the occupation forces stormed his house in the town of Kufor Aqab in Jerusalem. As soon as al-Shaham opened the door of the house, the soldiers surprised him by shooting him directly from a zero distance, hitting him in the head.

The martyr's mother told Wadi Hilweh Information Center that the occupation police, who stormed the house, confessed to killing her son by mistake! They left him bleeding for more than half an hour. She said: "They blew up the door of the house and we thought they were thieves. They killed Muhammad using a silencer, I headed towards the entrance and saw smoke and laser lights, then my eyes fell on my son Muhammad, who was bleeding on the ground, I grabbed his hand and the soldier pushed me and took me with my other sons out of the house.”

Following the martyrdom of Al-Shaham and the detention of his body, lawyers of Wadi Hilweh Information Center Muhammad Mahmoud and Firas Al-Jabrini and lawyer Medhat Diba had submitted an urgent request to the Occupation Court to hand over the martyr’s body to be transferred to the Palestinian forensic medical examination, and to investigate the causes of death.
