The boy Ali Qneibi…to house-arrest again
The Jerusalemite boy Ali Rateb Qneibi, 15 years old, from the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in Jerusalem, has returned to house arrest, only 7 months after he breathed freedom and left his home, and lived his life like other children.
The boy Ali Qneibi, one of the youths of the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood “the western part”, despite his young age, was arrested several times, and lived the experience of interrogation and “house arrest” for 8 continuous months, during which he was forbidden to leave his house and the window of the house was the only outlet for him.
The last arrest of Ali was on 3/10/2022, at the door of his school in the village of Sur Baher, where members of the police and intelligence were present in front of his school, and as soon as he got out of it, he was arrested and then transferred by the police car to the “Al-Maskoubiya” investigation center, and his detention was extended several times, until an indictment was filed against him.
Wadi Hilweh Information Center’s lawyer, Mohammad Mahmoud, explained that the judge decided today to release the boy, Qneibi, on condition of house arrest in Sheikh Jarrah, and to pay a cash guarantee of 8,000 shekels, and a third-party guarantee for 5 guarantors, "each guarantor is 15,000 shekels."
The Wadi Hilweh Information Center stated that the boy, Ali, ended the house arrest that was imposed on him for 8 months on 3/2/2022, and on 3/8/2022 he was arrested from his home at dawn, and was severely beaten behind his ear and in the face, stomach and back.
