The martyrdom of Omar Halabiya after being shot in the Old City of Jerusalem
On Thursday, Amer Hussam Halabiya was martyred, after he was shot while on Al-Wad Street in the Old City of Jerusalem.
The occupation police claimed that the young man carried out a stabbing attack against the policemen present at the place.
After shooting at the young man, the forces closed the area completely and surrounded the young man and prevented access to him, and he stayed for about two hours at the site, where tests were conducted and his fingerprints were taken.
During this, the merchants were forced to close their shops or leave them immediately, as the young man was shot in the vicinity of the shops "bakery, grocery, restaurant, and clothing stores."
The forces also prevented entry to the Old City and Al-Aqsa Mosque, and their forces deployed in the place. The occupation forces stormed the house of the martyr Halabiya in Beit Hanina and destroyed its contents, and arrested the martyr’s parents and his sister.
