A new deterioration in the health of the wounded Wadi’ Abu Rammouz
January 27, 2023

The health condition of the wounded detainee, Wadi’ Aziz Abu Rammouz, 16, from Silwan, who is receiving treatment at Shaare Zedek Hospital, has deteriorated after he was injured during clashes in the town last Wednesday evening.

Firas Al-Jabrini, a lawyer for the Wadi Hilweh Information Center - Jerusalem, explained that the health condition of the wounded boy, Abu Rammouz, deteriorated during the past hours, after the return of the bleeding in the abdomen. A fourth surgery will be performed on the boy in a new attempt to stop the bleeding, which is difficult to determine due to the bullet exploding in the abdomen, which made several holes in the place and thus caused severe bleeding.

Lawyer Al-Jabrini added that during the evening hours, the boy underwent surgery, "which is the third after the injury," and 70% of the bleeding was controlled, but the bleeding returned in the morning, and his health condition deteriorated.

Al-Jabrini added that since the injury until yesterday evening hours, the wounded Abu Rammouz was provided with 150 units of blood.

Al-Jabrini pointed out that he allowed the father of the wounded boy to visit him in the hospital, after a request to the Magistrate Court to do so.

Al-Jabrini explained that the boy opened his eyes and pulled his mother's hand when his parents talked to him.

Despite the critical health condition of the boy, Abu Rammouz, the forces chained him to the treatment bed, in addition to the presence of forces inside and outside the room.
