The Palestinian youth Khairy Alqam, 21 years old, was shot dead on Friday evening by the occupation forces after he carried out a "shooting" operation in the "Nabi Yacoub" settlement near Beit Hanina in Jerusalem.

The Israeli police and media announced that 8 Israelis were killed and several others were seriously and moderately wounded.

The police said that the shooting took place in several places in the area, as the perpetrator got out of his vehicle and opened fire near a synagogue, returned to his vehicle, and continued shooting randomly at people, then he exchanged fire with the forces that arrived, where he was killed.

The occupation forces, with their various divisions and units, stormed the entire area of Beit Hanina, and closed the perimeter of the settlement, in addition to closing the intersections of streets in the area.

Dozens of settlers were present at the site, insulting the Arabs and chanting "Death to the Arabs".

The occupation forces summoned the family members of the martyr for investigation, and stormed the martyr’s house in the neighborhood of Ras AL-Amoud in Silwan after midnight.
