Arrests…summonses and extensions of arrest

On Sunday evening, the occupation forces arrested Jerusalemite boys from the towns of Beit Hanina and Silwan in the city, and summoned others for investigation from the towns of the city.

The lawyer of the Wadi Hilweh Information Center, Mohammad Mahmoud, stated that the court extended the detention of the parents of the wounded boy, Mahmoud Aleiwat, until next Thursday. The lawyer submitted an appeal against the decision, and the District Court will hold a hearing tomorrow.

The court also extended the detention of Omar Aleiwat - the brother of the injured boy - until Thursday, and he is being interrogated in the cells and prevented from meeting with the lawyer.

The intelligence also summoned the boy Daoud Aleiwat - the brother of the wounded Mahmoud - and the young men Sultan Shweiki, Wajd Abu Halil, and Mu’taz Shweiki for investigation.

The forces arrested Mohammad Walid Rweidi, 16, and Aref Shweiki, from Silwan.

On Sunday, a session was held to consider the appeal against the decision to extend the mother of the martyr, Khairy Alqam - Fatima, to next Wednesday, and accordingly the District Court judge decided to extend her detention until Tuesday.

The court also extended the detention of the young men: Mohammad Atoun, Huthaifa Atoun, Thaer Bkeirat, Khaled Amira, Karim Abu Kaf - the brother of the prisoner Mohammad -, Malik Wajih Basit, and Baraa Nader Bkeirat, for several days, noting that they were arrested from the village of Sur Baher today.

The Public Prosecution submitted to the District Court an indictment against the two young men, Mohammad Ali Atoun and Issam Atoun, and the court extended their detention until 13/2/2023.
