Jerusalem- Administrative detention…. releases…the funeral procession of a martyr
On Sunday morning, the occupation authorities transferred a young man to administrative detention, and released other boys and young men, while the Jerusalemites carried out the funeral of the martyr Mohammad Mohammad Ali after the body was detained since the twenty-fifth of last month.
The lawyer of the Wadi Hilweh Information Center, Mohammad Mahmoud, stated that the young man, Ahmed Kayed Mahmoud, was transferred to administrative detention for a period of 5 months, pointing out that he was arrested at the end of last month.
For his part, the lawyer of the Information Center, Firas Al-Jabrini, stated that the police released the boys, Youssef Al-Jabari, Youssef Al-Natsheh, and Malek Al-Salaymeh, after arresting and interrogating them for several hours.
On Saturday evening, the occupation forces stormed the African community adjacent to the Al-Majles Gate - one of the gates of Al-Aqsa -, and assaulted the residents with bombs and pepper gas, and arrested Ahmed Al-Qadi and his son Mahmoud, and released them after several hours.
At the Qalandia military checkpoint, the occupation forces assaulted members of the Al-Salaymeh family while stopping their vehicle and examining the identities of the passengers.
The funeral of a Jerusalemite martyr
Hundreds of Jerusalemites, after midnight, attended the funeral of the 17-year-old boy, Mohammad Mohammad Ali, after his body was released to his family, which had been kept in refrigerators since the twenty-fifth of last month.
The mourners chanted for the martyrs, Jerusalem and Palestine, and walked through the streets of the Shu’fat refugee camp to the Anata cemetery, where the burial was carried out.
After the release of the body of martyr Mohammad Mohammad Ali, the occupation authorities continue to detain the bodies of 12 Jerusalemite martyrs in refrigerators: the body of the martyr Mesbah Abu Sbeih (since October 2016), the body of the martyr Fadi al-Qunbar (since January 2017), the body of the martyr Aziz Aweisat (since May 2018), and the two martyrs Shaher Abu Khadija and Zuhdi al-Tawil (since May 2021), the martyr Fadi Abu Shkheidem (since November 2021), the martyr Karim Jamal al-Qawasmi (since March 2022), the body of martyr Mohammad Abu Jom’a (since September 2022), the body of martyr Uday Al-Tamimi (since October 2022), the body of Amer Hussam Halabiya (since November 2022), and the bodies of martyrs Khairy Alqam and Wadi’ Abu Rammouz )since January 2023).
