On Monday evening, the occupation forces arrested a child from inside a bus at the entrance to Shu’fat refugee camp in Jerusalem, under the pretext of "carrying out a stabbing attack."

The police said in a statement that a stabbing attack took place inside a passenger bus, at the Shu’fat military camp checkpoint, while a border guard and a guard were examining the identities of the passengers. During the inspection procedure, a guard opened fire and shot the soldier and critically injured him, and was later announced dead.

The lawyer of the Wadi Hilweh Information Center - Jerusalem stated that the accused child is Mohammad Basil Al-Zalbani, 13 years old, from Shu’fat refugee camp. He was transferred to investigation in “rooms 4” in Al-Maskobyeh, and is in good condition.

The occupation forces deployed in large numbers at the camp checkpoint, closed the roads leading to it, and prevented entry or exit from the area. During that, dozens of officers, special forces, and various police teams came to the site and examined the bus after forcing all the passengers to get off it.

After more than two hours and amid the closure of the camp checkpoint, the occupation forces stormed the camp, raided the house of the Al-Zalbani boy, searched it and destroyed its contents.

The occupation forces also summoned members of the Al-Zalbani family for interrogation, and arrested them from the streets of the camp. Among the detainees were the parents and brother of the child.

On the other hand, the occupation forces stormed the house of the child, Ja’far Mtour, in the Shu’fat refugee camp, who is accused of carrying out a stabbing attack against a settler in the al-Silsilah Gate area - one of the gates of Al-Aqsa - and was arrested from inside Al-Aqsa after storming the Al-Qibli prayer hall.

On Monday evening, a young man was wounded by the occupation bullets after he was targeted while he was in his vehicle in Shu’fat refugee camp.
