Jerusalem – Suppression and arrests from the area of Damascus Gate
On Saturday, the occupation forces suppressed Jerusalemites in Damascus Gate area in Jerusalem, by beating, pushing, and carrying out arrests.
The occupation police said in a statement that it had arrested 8 Palestinians from Damascus Gate area during the past hours, and referred them for interrogation.
The occupation forces continued to suppress Jerusalemites from the afternoon hours until the evening, to evacuate the Damascus Gate area from those present, and beat some of them with pepper gas.
Among the detainees were Adam Shweiki, Yehya Al-Basti, Mohammad Abu Hamed, Malik Al-Salaymeh, Nu’man Abu Sneineh, Adam Harhash, Jihad Hassan, and Malik Al-Rajabi.
Hundreds of Palestinians flocked to the city of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque since the early morning hours to commemorate the anniversary of the Isra and Mi’raj.
