Pictures - Demolishing 3 houses in Wadi Al-Joz neighborhood
On Monday, the occupation municipality bulldozers demolished 3 homes for the Totah family in the Wadi al-Joz neighborhood in Jerusalem, under the pretext of building without a permit.
The occupation forces, the municipality’s bulldozers, workers, and crews from the “Nature and Parks Authority” stormed the homes of the Totah family after imposing a complete siege on the area, and closing the entrance to the main street leading to the houses.
The Totah family explained that the houses belong to Hussam Totah, Aref Totah, and Arafat Totah, and they house 18 people.
Aref Hussam Totah indicated that the houses are between 20-23 years old, on lands owned by the family, pointing out that heavy financial fines for "building violations" were paid to the courts and towards obtaining the license, and the demolition decision was frozen several times, until the final decision was issued and all licensing procedures were rejected.
The Totah family explained that the occupation municipality is claiming that the lands are classified as “green” where construction is prohibited.
