Silwan- The injured detainee Omar Ibrahim Abu Mayaleh
Late on Tuesday evening, the occupation forces arrested Omar Ibrahim Abu Mayaleh, 15, after he was shot, in Bi’er Ayoub neighborhood in Silwan.
The occupation police said in a statement that it had arrested a 15-year-old boy, explaining that his health condition was "stable". In its statement, the police claimed that a group of boys tried to open the door of a car belonging to the settlers' guards, to throw a Molotov cocktail into it, and one of the soldiers inside fired bullets at the boy.
After shooting the boy, the occupation forces closed streets and roads in the town of Silwan in general, and in Bi’er Ayoub in particular, and intercepted and searched an ambulance in the Ras al-Amoud neighborhood in the town, then stormed the town of al-Tur and al-Maqased Hospital, and deployed at the entrances to the town, stopped the vehicles and searched them as well as checking passengers' identity cards.
The occupation forces arrested 6 young men from the town of Al-Tur, and the Wadi Hilweh Information Center - Jerusalem stated that the detainees from Al-Tur are: Omar Khalil Abu Al-Hawa, Majdi Khaled Al-Hadra, Uday Jalal Khweis, Raed Khdour, Noureddine Abu Sbitan, and Mohammad Khweis.
Clashes also broke out in the town of Al-Tur, as the forces stormed the streets of the town.
The boy, Abu Mayaleh, had been arrested and detained several times, the last of which was last month.
