Bulldozers of the Israeli occupation municipality demolished two apartments in the Abbasyeh neighborhood in the town of Silwan, under the pretext of building without a license.
The occupation municipality crews and the bulldozers, guarded by the forces, stormed the Abbasyeh neighborhood, and surrounded the home of the Al-Tawil family, which was threatened with demolition, and ascended the roofs of the neighboring buildings.
The Al-Tawil family explained that the forces broke into the house and emptied it of its residents, took out some of its contents, and then began the demolition process.
The family pointed out that they demolished the two apartments but were unable to complete the demolition, due to the lack of space for the bulldozer to move.
The family added that the demolition was carried out without warning, and the court imposed on the family the "unlicensed construction fine" and the family is obliged to pay it monthly.
The family also explained that one apartment belongs to Wafi Al-Tawil and the second to his brother Bahjat Al-Tawil, and 15 people lived in them.
The forces arrested Wafi Al-Tawil during the demolition and turned him over for investigation.
