1478 extremists storm Al-Aqsa... Arrests and forceful evacuation of the al-Silsileh Gate area
Today, Monday, dozens of settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque, on the third day of Sukkot, and thousands also performed prayers at the Al-Buraq Wall.
The Islamic Endowments Department said that 1,478 extremists stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque, 1,152 during the morning incursions period, and 326 during the afternoon.
In successive groups, through the Dung Gate, the settlers carried out their incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque and performed prayers inside it.
The occupation forces deployed in the courtyards of the mosque, and groups of forces accompanied the extremists during the storming of Al-Aqsa.
The courtyards of Al-Aqsa seemed almost empty of worshipers, due to the procedures and restrictions that prevented them from entering the mosque. The forces prevented women, men, and young men from entering it “despite the absence of any deportation decision.” As for those who were allowed to enter the mosque, they required them to leave their ID cards at its gates.
In the al-Silsileh Gate area - one of the roads leading to Al-Aqsa Mosque - the forces deliberately evacuated the area from the worshippers stationed there, and attacked them by beating and pushing them.
The forces arrested Nitham Abu Rammouz, Hanadi Al-Halawani, and Aida Al-Sidawi.
The forces also pursued Abu Bakr al-Shaymi, Tariq Raoud, his mother, and Nafisa Khweis while they were in the place, by detaining their identities until they left the Old City.
The settlers also performed prayers at the gates of Al-Aqsa from the outside.
The settlers organized a collective prayer on Al-Wad Street, carrying “plant offerings.”
