789 settlers storm Al-Aqsa... deportations from the Old City of Jerusalem
October 3, 2023

On Tuesday, hundreds of settlers carried out raids into Al-Aqsa Mosque, on the fourth day of the Jewish Sukkot holiday.

The Islamic Endowments Department said that 789 extremists stormed Al-Aqsa, “506 during the morning incursions period, and 283 during the afternoon.”

The occupation forces imposed restrictions on the entry of worshipers to Al-Aqsa, from the hours of dawn until the afternoon, by preventing women and young men from entering it, and those whom they allowed to enter, requiring them to “leave their ID cards at the gates,” and they also expelled many young men during their presence in Al-Aqsa.

The settlers performed prayers in Al-Aqsa, especially in the eastern region, al-Qattaneen Gate, and al-Silsileh Gate.

The scene at the gates of Al-Aqsa from the outside was similar, as dozens of settlers performed their prayers at the gates, carrying plant offerings.

In al-Silsileh Gate area, the forces prevented the worshippers stationed in the area, evacuated it completely, and determined the location of the press crews. The settlers directed insults and profanity.

Release

The Magistrate Court judge released Aida Al-Sidawi and Hanadi Al-Halawani, and Nitham Abu Rammouz. Hours after the release, the police filed an appeal with the District Court against the release decision.

The District Court issued a decision to deport Al-Halawani and Abu Rammouz from the Old City on 8/10/2023, while it decided to prevent Al-Sidawi from participating in any event or gathering.
