Third day of “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation in the city of Jerusalem
On the third day of “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation, Adam Amjad Al-Julani, 16 years old, died during confrontations at the Qalandia military checkpoint, and his body was buried in the town of Al-Ram.
In the evening hours, the occupation forces targeted young men in the village of Issawiya with bullets, resulting in the serious injury of one of them.
Al-Aqsa Mosque
For the third day, the occupation authorities continued to impose restrictions on the entry of Palestinians to Al-Aqsa and the Old City, and deployed their forces at the gates of the city and Al-Aqsa, and tightened entry procedures.
From Monday morning until the evening hours, the forces prevented those under the age of 50-60 from entering Al-Aqsa, both young men and women. The worshipers performed prayers on the thresholds of the mosque, after they were prevented from entering.
The Siam family also performed the funeral prayer for their child son, Khalil Mohammad Siam, in the Lions Gate area, at the gate of the Bab al-Rahma cemetery, due to slow inspection procedures, restrictions on mourners, and examination of burial papers.
The forces also attacked young men from the Abu Sneineh family while they were in the hearse to participate in their grandfather’s funeral. The young men explained that the forces severely beat them and forced them to get out of the hearse, and one of the young men suffered a broken hand.
The forces obstructed the entry of a third funeral to Al-Aqsa, and allowed it to enter after more than half an hour of detention and examination of the papers.
Over the course of the hour, several attacks were recorded on the gates of Al-Aqsa, preventing young men from entering Al-Aqsa, and searching them at the gates.
At the gates of the Old City, there was the same scene, with young men and boys being arrested and subjected to physical searches after their IDs were seized. Some were also severely beaten during detention inside the control rooms in the Damascus Gate area.
Night clashes
The towns of Silwan, Issawiya, Jabal Al-Mukabber, Sur Baher, Al-Tur, Shu’fat refugee camp, and the Wad Al-Joz neighborhood witnessed confrontations in the evening hours.
The forces used live bullets, waste water, sound and gas bombs, and rubber bullets to suppress the protestors.
