Day 16: Al-Aqsa Flood Operation in Jerusalem
October 22, 2023

On the sixteenth day of “Al-Aqsa Flood” Operation, the occupation forces suppressed a protest in support of the Gaza Strip on Salah al-Din Street, and continued their siege of the Old City and Al-Aqsa Mosque, while allowing hundreds of settlers to storm the mosque and pray in it, and carried out separate arrests from the city of Jerusalem.

Suppressing a protest

The occupation forces heavily fired gas bombs at a group of young men and girls, immediately after chanting slogans in support of the Gaza Strip, and prevented anyone from being present at the site of the protest.

The Wadi Hilweh Information Center - Jerusalem explained that the forces deployed on Salah al-Din Street, were stationed in the middle of it, and prevented the presence of any person in the area, and they examined and asked questions to anyone who was present and standing in Salah al-Din Street.

The center added that a group of people chanted slogans in support of the Gaza Strip, and gas bombs were immediately fired at them.

The forces stopped vehicles while traveling on Salah al-Din Street, and during that time they seized a vehicle and detained the young men inside it, then took them to an area in the place, severely beat them, then arrested them and confiscated their vehicle.
