November 7, 2023

On the 32nd day of “Al-Aqsa Flood” Operation, the occupation forces fired bullets at a girl at the Qalandia military checkpoint, while the siege of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Old City continued, as well as the deployment of forces in the city of Jerusalem.

Qalandia checkpoint

On Tuesday morning, forces opened fire on a Palestinian girl at the Qalandia military checkpoint.

Video recordings taken on mobile phones showed that the girl walked between the vehicles at the Qalandia checkpoint with the “There is no god but God” flag on her shoulders and chanted “Allahu Akbar,” and during that time, they opened fire on her.

The Israeli police said in a statement that the girl was in possession of a knife, and described her injuries as being between minor and moderate.

They added that the girl is a resident of Qalandia, and is 17 years old.

The forces closed the Qalandia checkpoint while detaining the girl and searching her, until she was transferred for treatment while she was under arrest.

Siege of Al-Aqsa

For the second consecutive month, the occupation forces continue to impose a siege on Al-Aqsa Mosque, deploying forces at its gates and placing restrictions on the entry of worshipers. Entry to it is prohibited except for a small number of elderly people, most of whom are residents of the Old City, while young people are completely prohibited from entering it.

Settlers' raids on Al-Aqsa Mosque continued through the Dung Gate, and 103 extremists carried out their raids on Al-Aqsa.

At the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Old City, forces continue to be present and stationed there, in addition to sending infantry units and placing random checkpoints, during which young men are arrested and subjected to physical searches, and cell phone inspections.

In the evening hours, settlers lit 1,400 candles at the Buraq Wall, “the Western Wall of Al-Aqsa,” to commemorate those killed in the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation.

The forces also continue to prevent people from sitting or being present in Damascus Gate Square in Jerusalem.

Incursions and confrontations

The forces continued to storm neighborhoods and towns in the city of Jerusalem.

In the evening hours, confrontations broke out in the village of Issawiya, and forces stormed the village, fired bombs, and sprayed wastewater randomly.

Since the early morning hours, the forces set up a checkpoint at the main entrance to Issawiya, stopped vehicles and buses, and subjected everyone to inspection.

On Tuesday, the forces arrested Mamoun Farhan, Rami Al-Salaymeh, and Mohammad Al-Fakhouri.
