Day 44: Al-Aqsa Flood Operation in the city of Jerusalem
On the 44th day of “Al-Aqsa Flood Operation”, the occupation authorities continued their siege imposed on Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Old City, as well as the raids on towns and neighborhoods in Jerusalem, and conducted several arrests in the city of Jerusalem.
Continuous siege... Al-Aqsa is empty
Since the seventh of last October, the forces have been imposing strict restrictions on the entry of Muslims into Al-Aqsa, preventing the elderly from entering it, with the exception of employees of the Islamic Endowments and the elderly. The elderly are not spared from the ban and the imposition of restrictions on them, by stopping them at the gates of the Old City or the gates of Al-Aqsa. Their identity and residential address are checked, and many of them are denied entry under the pretext that “the residential address is not the Old City.”
The forces continue to be deployed at the gates of Al-Aqsa and on its roads.
136 extremists carried out their raids into Al-Aqsa Mosque, through the Dung Gate, under the protection of the occupation forces.
As for the Old City, the forces continue to deploy and station themselves at gates on its roads, and young men and girls in particular are subjected to field inspection and investigation around the clock.
In the Herods Gate area, the forces severely beat a young man, arrested him, forcibly removed those present, and detained a girl and conducted a field investigation with her during that time under the pretext of “taking photos”, and released her after examining her mobile phone.
The forces also continued to storm towns and neighborhoods in the city of Jerusalem. In the morning hours, municipal crews stormed several neighborhoods in the town of Silwan.
In the Old City, the forces stormed the house of the Al-Bashiti family while the family was attending a session for their detained son Hisham, after removing the main door of the building. They then contacted the owner of the house, Mohammad Al-Bashiti, and demanded that he come immediately to the house in order to search it.
The family explained that the forces vandalized and searched the house, noting that this was the third time that the house had been searched since the beginning of this month.
The Wadi Hilweh Information Center - Jerusalem learned that the forces stormed a school in the city of Jerusalem and searched the classrooms.
