Day 104: Jerusalem during “Al-Aqsa Flood” Operation
On the 104th day of “Al-Aqsa Flood Operation,” the siege imposed on Al-Aqsa Mosque continued, and the raids on the towns and neighborhoods of the city of Jerusalem continued, while the occupation authorities issued a decision to demolish the family home of the martyr Khaled Al-Muhtaseb.
The siege of Al-Aqsa continues
The occupation authorities continue to besiege and isolate the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and impose restrictions on the entry of Muslims into it.
The Wadi Hilweh Information Center - Jerusalem, quoting worshipers, explained that police officers stationed at the gates of Al-Aqsa are stopping all those coming to the mosque, to check their identities and place of residence, in addition to questioning them.
The elderly Abu Rasem said: “The occupation is trying to isolate Al-Aqsa with the restrictions imposed on our entry into it. Sometimes they allow the entry of worshipers, and most of the time they obstruct our entry and impose restrictions on us, and they try to tell us, ‘If you are not from the Old City, entry is not permitted,” pointing out that the measures include “the elderly, boys, women, and young men.”
Abu Rasem added: “For three and a half months, we have been suffering while trying to enter Al-Aqsa, and despite that, we will not leave it and continue to travel to it, from everywhere.”
On the other hand, settlers’ raids on Al-Aqsa continued, and 113 settlers carried out their raids into Al-Aqsa during the morning and afternoon periods, under the protection of the occupation police.
Demolition decision
The occupation authorities issued a decision to demolish the house of the Jerusalemite martyr Khaled Abdel Fattah al-Muhtaseb in Beit Hanina. The young man al-Muhtaseb died on 12/10/2023, after an armed clash that took place at the “Salah al-Din Police” station, in the city of Jerusalem, and his body was detained.
Raids and arrests
The occupation forces and intelligence stormed towns and neighborhoods in the city of Jerusalem.
In the village of Issawiya, the forces stormed the village several times, and in the evening they arrested the child Mohammad Alayan.
In Jabal al-Mukabber, the "Musta’ribeen individuals” (undercover police) stormed the village and arrested the young man, Naim Aweisat.
In Silwan, the forces stormed the town's neighborhoods several times, and raided the home of the freed prisoner, Fouad Rweidi.
At the entrance to the town of Al-Tur, the forces pursued a vehicle and completely surrounded it, and large forces stormed the place and closed it.
The occupation authorities renewed the administrative detention of the young man, Sufian Obaid, for a period of 3 months.
The occupation authorities deported the freed prisoner, Mohammad Abu Khdair, from the city of Jerusalem. Prisoner Abu Khdair was released on Thursday, after the end of his sentence of 6 and a half years.
