January 29, 2024

On the 115th day of “Al-Aqsa Flood Operation,” the siege imposed on Al-Aqsa Mosque continued and the raids on the towns and neighborhoods of the city of Jerusalem continued as well.

The Wadi Hilweh Information Center - Jerusalem explained that the occupation authorities continue to impose restrictions on the entry of Muslims into Al-Aqsa Mosque, by checking identities and searching bags and purses, in addition to subjecting some to physical searches, and preventing young men and boys from entering Al-Aqsa.

The forces also continue to deploy and position themselves at the gates of Al-Aqsa and the roads leading to it.

78 settlers carried out their raids into Al-Aqsa Mosque, through the Dung Gate, in the form of successive groups during the morning and afternoon incursion periods.

The raids on towns and neighborhoods in Jerusalem continued, and the forces arrested the young man, Ahmed Rukon, and severely beat him and his family members, and carried out a massive sabotage of the house, as the family explained.

The court extended the detention of Ahmed Rukon until next Wednesday, during a session held for him in absentia in court, as he was transferred to the hospital to receive treatment as a result of his beating during the arrest.

The occupation forces and municipal crews and vehicles also stormed the Al-Thori neighborhood in Silwan, and began the process of demolishing a retaining wall for the Shweiki family, as the municipality plans to build a street between the residents’ homes.
