Day 132: Jerusalem during “Al-Aqsa Flood” Operation
On the 132nd day of "Al-Aqsa Flood Operation", the occupation authorities swept the land of "Al-Khandaq/ Souq Al-Jum’a", and continued to impose restrictions on the entry of Muslims to Al-Aqsa, and the raids into the towns and neighborhoods in the city of Jerusalem continued.
"Al-Khandaq/ Souq Al-Jum’a" land
Joint crews from the municipality and the Nature and Parks Authority accompanied by crews from the police stormed the land of "Al-Khandaq/ Souq Al-Jum’a", located along the northeastern side of the Jerusalem wall, and took out its owners and prevented them from being inside, then began digging and shoveling the ground, in preparation for the implementation of a "garden" within the "Gardens around the Old City Wall" project.
This comes two days after the rejection of the "temporary prohibition of work" request that was requested by the families owning the land "Owais, Hamad, Atallah", despite the existence of a "permanent prohibition of work on the land" request that was not decided on yet, in addition to a case in the Supreme Court regarding the confiscation of the land where a session is set for next April.
The forces checked and photographed all the identities of those inside the land, and removed them from its surroundings.
Pursuit of a Jerusalemite prisoner
The judicial adviser to the occupation government approved the request of the Minister of Interior to withdraw the Israeli identity card "residence" from the Jerusalemite prisoner Majid al-Jo’beh.
The Ministry of Interior had announced last November, its intention to withdraw the identity of the prisoner al-Jo’beh, under the pretext of "belonging to banned organizations".
The forces arrested him last October, and immediately after his arrest he was put under "administrative detention", and it was recently renewed for an additional 4 months.
Al-Aqsa Mosque
The occupation authorities continued to impose restrictions on the entry of worshipers to Al-Aqsa, by stopping those arriving to it, checking IDs and searching bags, and the forces stationed at the gates of Al-Aqsa randomly prevent entry to the mosque, especially for young men, and whoever is allowed to enter among them is required to "leave their ID card at the gate" before the entry.
The settlers also continued their incursions into Al-Aqsa, and 193 extremists carried out their incursions into Al-Aqsa courtyards, and performed prayers during the incursion.
Raids and issuing fines
The occupation authorities continued to raid the neighborhoods and towns in the city of Jerusalem, setting up roadblocks and breaking into homes.
The forces raided the home of the Saeeda family in the Wadi al-Joz neighborhood. Ahmed Saeeda explained that the forces broke into the house and asked about "his cousin" who is a freed prisoner, then checked the motorcycle parked at the door of his house, during which they revoked its license.
Saeeda added: "The forces searched the surroundings of the house, and imposed numerous fines on the family worth 4 thousand shekels, including fines due to the presence of “Ramadan decorations”, and for planting in the courtyards of the house, drawings on the outer wall of the house.
The occupation authorities expelled Mohammad Abu Sneineh from Al-Aqsa Mosque for 4 months.
