The municipal elections were held on Tuesday in Jerusalem, and several polling stations were opened in the towns and neighborhoods of the city, and the police were stationed at their gates and inside them, while the city's residents were committed to the consensus and the decision to boycott the elections, where participation in it is considered "an acknowledgment of Israeli sovereignty over the city ".

Al-Aqsa Mosque

On Tuesday, 237 settlers carried out their incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque, during the morning and afternoon break-in periods, and the "alleged Temple groups" called to carry out incursions into Al-Aqsa "to pray for the success of the elections", and they performed collective and public prayers in Al-Aqsa.

The occupation forces continued to impose restrictions on worshipers' entry to Al-Aqsa, preventing young men and women from entering it, and subjecting the arrivals to "searches and identity checks."

The police arrested a woman from the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Confrontations

In the evening hours, violent confrontations broke out at the Shu’fat refugee camp checkpoint in Jerusalem, and the forces threw gas bombs at the entrance of the camp, targeting the residential buildings, while the youths responded by throwing firecrackers.

The forces closed the military checkpoint.

The police forces also continued to storm the towns and neighborhoods in Jerusalem, and set up checkpoints in the streets and roads of the city.

On the other hand, the Intelligence Service handed the young man Mohammad Al-Tahan a decision to expel him from Al-Aqsa Mosque for 6 months.
