Day 149: Jerusalem during “Al-Aqsa Flood” Operation
March 3, 2024

On the 149th day of "Al-Aqsa Flood Operation", the occupation authorities continued their incursions into the towns and neighborhoods in the city of Jerusalem, in addition to continuing to impose restrictions on worshipers entering Al-Aqsa.

In the village of Jabal Al-Mukabber in Jerusalem, joint crews from the municipality carried out a demolition operation for a commercial facility, and confiscated a truck from the Ja’abis family, under the pretext of building without a permit, and the forces closed the area around the place until the demolition and confiscation process was completed.

The municipality had forced the Ja’abis family last year to demolish a commercial shop.

The police arrested two young men from the village of Jabal Al-Mukabber.

In the town of Silwan, forces and crews from the tax and municipality/property and intelligence department broke into the homes of Ahmed and Bassam Abu Nab, and they took the measurements of the two houses and rooms, checked the water pipes, and searched the place, and issued a fine for Ahmad Abu Nab under the pretext of "putting an air condition unit at the door of the house."

The forces also stormed the home of the Abu Diab family in the Ein Al-Lozeh neighborhood in Silwan.

In the village of Issawiya, the forces, accompanied by the intelligence, stormed the village and raided a number of houses.

The occupation authorities continued to impose their restrictions on the entrance of worshipers to Al-Aqsa, by stationing themselves at the gates and stopping those arriving to it, checking identities, and "randomly" preventing the entry of young men and women.

Settler incursions into Al-Aqsa also continued, and 105 settlers carried out their incursions into the mosque during the morning and afternoon incursions.

At the Al-Z’ayem checkpoint, east of Jerusalem, the police arrested 16 young men under the pretext of "attempting to enter Jerusalem illegally", as well as the driver of the vehicle transporting them.
