Day 151: Jerusalem during “Al-Aqsa Flood” Operation
March 5, 2024

On the 151st day of "Al-Aqsa Flood Operation", the Israeli Prime Minister said that "the entry of worshipers to Al-Aqsa during the first week of Ramadan will be unchanged from previous years", and this comes in conjunction with imposing restrictions on the entry of worshipers to Al-Aqsa for the fifth consecutive month.

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu said that the entry of worshipers to Al-Aqsa Mosque will be allowed during the first week of Ramadan, and will be unchanged from previous years.

At the end of the month of February, the Israeli "War Cabinet" decided to withdraw security powers over the Al-Aqsa Mosque from the Minister of National Security Ben Gavir, and not to impose special restrictions on the entry of Palestinians from Jerusalem and the 1948 lands to pray at the Al-Aqsa Mosque during the month of Ramadan, while the cabinet said that the police would determine the number of worshippers, and restrictions will be imposed on individuals entry according to the "Intelligence" information.

Meanwhile, the occupation authorities continue to impose their restrictions on the entry of worshipers to Al-Aqsa - since last October 7th - by stationing forces at its gates, stopping all those arriving to it, and randomly preventing the entry of some worshipers, especially young people, despite "the easing of the siege imposed on Al-Aqsa" compared to the first months to the war, but the restrictions are continuous and free entry to Al-Aqsa is not allowed, while these procedures are tightened every Friday and worshipers are assaulted by beatings and arrests, and the people of the West Bank are prevented from entering the mosque.

During the past week, Israeli intelligence summoned a number of young Jerusalemite men, and handed them orders to expel them from Al-Aqsa Mosque "for a week with the possibility of renewal for several months."

On Tuesday, 105 settlers carried out their incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque, through Dung Gate, guarded by the Israeli occupation forces.

On the other hand, the intelligence services summoned the Jerusalemite Mrs. Khadija Khweis, and handed her a decision prohibiting her from entering the West Bank for 6 months, several days after she was handed the "travel-ban decision".

The forces also continued their incursions into the towns and neighborhoods in Jerusalem, randomly setting up checkpoints, and stopping vehicles.
