Day 155: Jerusalem during “Al-Aqsa Flood” Operation
March 9, 2024

On the 155th day of "Al-Aqsa Flood Operation", dozens of settlers attacked the graves in the "Bab al-Rahma" cemetery in Jerusalem, while the restrictions imposed on the worshipers' entry to Al-Aqsa continued, and the intrusions into the towns and neighborhoods of the city, and the deployment of forces in its streets, continued as well.

Bab al-Rahma Cemetery

Eyewitnesses explained to the Wadi Hilweh Information Center - Jerusalem, that about 40 settlers broke into the Bab al-Rahma Cemetery, adjacent to the eastern wall of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and wandered inside it, during which they deliberately walked and trampled on the graves, then smashed some of the gravestones, and destroyed materials used to restore and build the graves.

The center learned that the settlers destroyed 5 gravestones for the "Abbasi, Al-A’war, and Odeh" families.

The settlers' attacks on the Bab al-Rahma cemetery are repeated, through intrusions, prayers inside and trampling on the graves. This attack was preceded by one of the settlers slaughtering a "donkey and hanging it" on one of the graves, at the end of last year.

Al-Aqsa…continuous restrictions and calls for storming it "at the beginning of the Hebrew month"

The occupation authorities continued to impose restrictions on the entry of worshipers to Al-Aqsa Mosque, by placing iron barriers at its gates and a permanent presence on its roads, stopping those arriving to it, and randomly preventing the entry of worshipers especially young men and women.

The Israeli authorities also continue to impose restrictions on funerals at Al-Aqsa, limiting the number of participants from the family of the deceased, and not allowing young men to enter to participate in "carrying the body/praying over it."

On the other hand, the "alleged temple groups" called for incursions on Sunday and Monday, on the occasion of "the beginning of the Hebrew month."

Deployment and raids

The occupation authorities continued to deploy in the streets of Jerusalem, randomly setting up checkpoints, and stopping the young men and women and subjecting them to searches and identity checks.
