Day 183: Jerusalem during “Al-Aqsa Flood” Operation

On the 183rd day of "Al-Aqsa Flood Operation", the occupation forces dropped gas bombs via a “drone” towards the fasting worshipers in Al-Aqsa Mosque, and carried out dozens of arrests and deportations from the Old City and Al-Aqsa.

The Wadi Hilweh Information Center - Jerusalem explained that a march was launched in Al-Aqsa Mosque after the end of the Fajer prayer, and the young men chanted slogans in support of the Gaza Strip and Al-Aqsa, and during that a drone heavily dropped gas bombs in Al-Aqsa squares.

Fasting worshipers suffered from suffocation due to the density of gas bombs.

The occupation forces deployed at the gates of Al-Aqsa and in its roads as worshipers left, and carried out arrests of boys and young men.

Siraj Abu Arafa, the lawyer of the Wadi Hilweh Information Center - Jerusalem, explained that 15 arrests were carried out from the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque, after the worshipers left the Fajer prayer.

In the evening hours, court sessions were held for detainees from Al-Aqsa during the past days, and the lawyers of the Wadi Hilweh Information Center, Firas Al-Jabrini and Siraj Abu Arafa, explained that the judge decided to release 21 detainees under conditions, most notably house arrest and deportation from the Old City, in addition to the payment of cash guarantees.

On the other hand, the police said that they arrested a 17-year-old boy, from the town of Birzeit, on the pretext of “possession of a knife,” adding that they arrested the boy from the Damascus Gate area.

In the hours before dawn, violent confrontations broke out at the Shu’fat refugee camp checkpoint, and gas bombs were heavily fired into the camp streets.
