Day 184: Jerusalem during “Al-Aqsa Flood” Operation
On the 184th day of "Al-Aqsa Flood Operation", raids and arrests continued in the city of Jerusalem, while tens of thousands of worshippers flocked to Al-Aqsa Mosque on the twenty-eighth day of the month of Ramadan.
In the early hours of dawn, the forces stormed the village of Issawiya and arrested two young men. They stormed the village again in the afternoon and arrested a young man.
The forces also stormed Shu’fat refugee camp and the town of Anata, and arrested a young man.
The occupation authorities released the Deputy Director of the Jerusalem Endowments, Sheikh Najeh Bkeirat, after administrative detention for a period of 4 months, which was preceded by his “deportation from the city of Jerusalem,” as he was arrested from his place of residence after being deported from the city.
Tens of thousands of worshipers continued to flock to Al-Aqsa, to perform prayers, participate in religious circles, reciting the Qur’an. More than 25,000 worshipers performed the Ishaa and Taraweeh prayers, during which the Holy Qur’an was recited and completed.
The forces continued to be stationed and present at all the gates of Al-Aqsa, and on its roads, and the forces arrested a young woman while she was in the middle of the Dome of the Rock Square.
While the arrests of West Bank residents from the city of Jerusalem continued, under the pretext of “entering and residing in Jerusalem illegally,” the Israeli police said that during the last week they arrested 308 Palestinians with “West Bank IDs” and 39 suspects who transported them.
The occupation authorities released the young man, Firas Al-Atrash, on the condition that he be expelled from Al-Aqsa for two months.
