Day 197: Jerusalem during “Al-Aqsa Flood” Operation
April 20, 2024

On the 197th day of "Al-Aqsa Flood Operation", calls from the “alleged temple organizations and groups” to carry out incursions into Al-Aqsa continue during the current week, “Passover week,” and the forces continue to be stationed at its gates, and raids on towns and neighborhoods in Jerusalem continue.

The Wadi Hilweh Information Center - Jerusalem explained that “Temple groups” continue to distribute invitations through their various platforms calling for storming Al-Aqsa “during the days of Passover,” and attempting to slaughter “goats/Capricorns” sacrifices on the eve of the holiday “on Sunday and Monday.”

The groups also continue to distribute financial rewards, ranging from 700 shekels to 50 thousand shekels, to encourage settlers to slaughter sacrifices at Al-Aqsa and to attempt to do so. It is noteworthy that during the past years, dozens of attempts by settlers to bring sacrifices into Al-Aqsa have been thwarted.

Temple groups also submitted an official request to the police to allow them to offer sacrifices inside Al-Aqsa.

Meanwhile, police checkpoints continue to be set up in the streets of Jerusalem and at the entrances to towns and villages in the city.
