April 24, 2024

On the 201st day of "Al-Aqsa Flood Operation", hundreds of settlers carried out their incursions I into Al-Aqsa Mosque on the second day of the Jewish Passover holiday, and the raids on towns and neighborhoods in Jerusalem continued.

The Islamic Endowments Department said that 875 settlers stormed Al-Aqsa on the second day of Passover, “703 during the morning, and 172 during the afternoon.”

The settlers carried out their incursions into Al-Aqsa, in successive groups, through the Dung Gate, the keys of which have been controlled by the occupation authorities since the occupation of Jerusalem.

The settlers performed their prayers during the storming of Al-Aqsa.

The forces also deployed in Al-Aqsa's courtyards, and expelled some young men from it, while preventing some from sitting in certain areas where groups of intruders were marching.

The forces arrested journalist Saif Al-Qawasmi from Al-Aqsa, and released him hours later on the condition that he be expelled from Al-Aqsa for a week, with the possibility of renewing the decision.

Hundreds of settlers also flocked to Al-Buraq Square to perform prayers, and while they were walking on Al-Silsileh Gate Road, they deliberately provoked the press crews present, directing obscene words and insults, putting their hands on camera lenses, and pursuing them in an attempt to prevent them from doing their work.

The police also determined where the press crews can stand in the area of Al-Silsileh Gate.

On the other hand, the forces continued their raids and deployment in Jerusalem, setting up checkpoints and closing road intersections towards the town of Silwan, to ensure the settlers’ access to the Al-Buraq Wall.

The forces stormed Shu’fat refugee camp and arrested a young man.

The lawyer of the Wadi Hilweh Information Center - Jerusalem, Mohammad Mahmoud, explained that the Magistrate Court extended the detention of the two young men, Mu’taz Gholma and Hatem Al-Qawasmi, until 30/4/2024, on suspicion of “carrying out a ramming attack and an attempted shooting” in west Jerusalem.
