Day 214: Jerusalem during “Al-Aqsa Flood” Operation
May 7, 2024

On the 214th day of "Al-Aqsa Flood Operation", the settlers organized their “monthly march” in Jerusalem, and the raids on Al-Aqsa continued, as did the raids on towns and neighborhoods in Jerusalem.

The Wadi Hilweh Information Center - Jerusalem explained that dozens of settlers participated in the monthly march “on the eve of the beginning of the Hebrew month/the gates march” which marched on Al-Wad Street, passing through the Al-Aqsa Gates from the outside and Al-Ghazali Square, arriving at Al-Buraq Square.

The settlers performed prayers and formed dance and singing circles at the gates of Al-Aqsa and in the roads and alleys of the Old City. They gathered at Al-Ghazali Square immediately upon leaving the Old City through the Lions Gate and walked towards Al-Buraq Square while chanting various slogans.

The settlers carried flags calling for the construction of the temple, and used loudspeakers while giving speeches, praying, and chanting slogans.

During the march, the forces closed the Lions Gate Road, Wadi Hilweh Street, and Al-Turbah Street, and iron barriers were placed in the alleys of the Old City, “the march route.”

On Tuesday, 102 settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque, through the Dung Gate, guarded by the occupation forces, and performed prayers in Al-Aqsa’s courtyards.

The forces carried out raids into towns and neighborhoods in Jerusalem, and continued to set up checkpoints in the streets of the city.
