Day 228 Jerusalem during “Al-Aqsa Flood” Operation
On the 228th day of "Al-Aqsa Flood Operation", settlers continued their raids on Al-Aqsa Mosque, while work continued in a land in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in preparation for “holding the Torch Festival,” and raids on towns and neighborhoods in Jerusalem continued.
The number of settlers who stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque, during the morning and afternoon raids, was 256 extremist settlers and Jewish students.
Calls were also launched to storm Al-Aqsa on Wednesday, on the “Second/Little Passover,” and an attempt to offer animal sacrifices.
In the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in the city of Jerusalem, the occupation authorities are continuing their work on a land at the entrance to the neighborhood, “levelling the land, placing a tent and platforms for lighting, and placing iron barricades” to hold the Torch Festival celebration, which is scheduled to be held next Saturday evening until midnight on Sunday.
The police distributed notices to the residents, asking them to completely clear the area of vehicles, and to park them in a parking lot on the western side of the neighborhood. They also designated special places and roads to reach the neighborhood.
The occupation forces continued to storm towns and neighborhoods in the city of Jerusalem.
Prison sentences and courts
The court issued an actual prison sentence against Ibrahim Al-Sharbati, from the Wadi Al-Joz neighborhood, for a period of 14 months. The Wadi Hilweh Information Center - Jerusalem, explained that the young man was arrested on 11/10/2023.
The occupation authorities renewed the administrative detention of the young man, Areen Za’aneen, from the Wadi Al-Joz neighborhood, for two months, and the young man, Majdi Al-Abbasi, from Silwan, for a month.
The court transferred two boys to home detention until the end of the legal procedures against them.
The Public Prosecution filed an indictment against 4 children from the town of Silwan, including charges of “organizing to carry out terrorist acts and attempted murder.”
