Day 229 Jerusalem during “Al-Aqsa Flood” Operation
On the 229th day of "Al-Aqsa Flood Operation", the Minister of National Security in the occupation government, Itamar Ben Gavir, stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and settlers’ raids on Al-Aqsa continued, and raids on the towns and neighborhoods of Jerusalem continued as well.
The Wadi Hilweh Information Center - Jerusalem explained that Minister Ben Gavir stormed Al-Aqsa during the morning incursions period, accompanied by the head of the Temple Mount Management Organization, and guarded by occupation officers and forces.
During Ben Gavir’s storming of Al-Aqsa, he made statements in which he refused to recognize the Palestinian state and said: “The countries that today recognized the Palestinian state are giving a reward to the cowardly, murderers and aggressors, and I say: We will not even allow the declaration of a Palestinian state.”
During his statement at Al-Aqsa, Ben Gavir threatened to destroy Hamas, and said: “We will reach the prisoners in Gaza, and Hamas must be destroyed. Tonight, more evidence will be presented confirming the necessity of destroying it.”
He also said that Al-Aqsa is the holy place for the Israelis, and sovereignty must be imposed over it.
431 extremist Jewish settlers and students carried out their raids into Al-Aqsa Mosque, during the morning and afternoon incursion periods.
The settlers performed prayers during the storming of Al-Aqsa.
Today is the “Second/Little Passover,” which comes a month after the main Passover holiday.
On the other hand, the forces continued to impose restrictions on the entry of worshipers to Al-Aqsa, and at the Ishaa prayer, they prevented young men from entering, and this coincided with the arrival of the funeral of the late Hajj Salah Odeh to Al-Aqsa.
The incursions and raids into towns and neighborhoods in the city of Jerusalem also continued, and in the afternoon hours, the forces stormed the Shu’fat refugee camp, and heavily fired gas bombs into the streets of the camp.
In the early morning hours, forces stormed the Shu’fat refugee camp and arrested a young man.
Meanwhile, the Public Prosecution filed an indictment against a girl from the village of Issawiya, including charges of “attempted murder.”
The District Court decided to release a Jerusalemite boy on condition of house arrest until the end of the legal procedures against him.
