Day 253 Jerusalem during “Al-Aqsa Flood” Operation
On the 253rd day of "Al-Aqsa Flood Operation", thousands of worshipers traveled to Al-Aqsa on Arafah Day, and the forces imposed restrictions on the entry of worshipers to it, especially during the Noon and Maghreb prayers, and raids and arrests continued in the city of Jerusalem.
The Wadi Hilweh Information Center - Jerusalem explained that thousands of worshipers from the people of Jerusalem and the Palestinian interior set out on their journey to Al-Aqsa since the dawn hours, on the Arafah Day, and they performed prayers and formed circles of remembrance and recitation of the Qur’an, and the Eid takbeers in Al-Aqsa.
Worshipers stressed the necessity of making daily trips to Al-Aqsa, not leaving it throughout the year, and being present there on various religious holidays and occasions.
As for the young men, they confirmed to the center that the forces stationed at the gates of the mosque prevented them from entering Al-Aqsa, praying there, and being there on this holy day, and refused to allow them to enter it without a reason. They also prevented some from entering the mosque during the Maghreb hours to break their fast.
On the other hand, a police vehicle “electric car” drove around Al-Aqsa courtyards, raising the Israeli flag on it.
The police vehicle began its permanent presence in Al-Aqsa since 2016.
On the streets of Jerusalem, the forces stopped young men, took their ID cards, and subjected some of them to body searches.
In the Wadi al-Joz neighborhood in Jerusalem, forces stormed the area and arrested 3 children, as explained by the center’s lawyer, Siraj Abu Arafeh.
Lawyer Abu Arafeh explained that the police released the children and imposed house arrest on them for 4 days.
