Day 254 Jerusalem during “Al-Aqsa Flood” Operation
On the 254th day of "Al-Aqsa Flood Operation", the occupation authorities imposed a siege on Al-Aqsa Mosque, coinciding with the arrival of worshipers to perform the dawn and Eid prayers (Eid al-Adha), and attacked the worshipers. Also, raids on towns and neighborhoods in the city of Jerusalem continued.
The Wadi Hilweh Information Center - Jerusalem explained that the occupation authorities began imposing restrictions on the entry of worshipers to Al-Aqsa since today’s dawn prayer, by preventing young people from entering the mosque, and before the time of Eid prayer, they tightened the restrictions and procedures by preventing the flocking of all worshipers “young men, children, boys, women, and families,” and allowed a small number of worshipers to enter Al-Aqsa.
The center added, in its monitoring of what happened, that the forces prevented entry towards the Old City, and whoever was able to enter was stopped at the gates of Al-Aqsa and prevented from entering it.
The forces also beat and pushed worshipers while they were at the gates of Al-Aqsa, and pursued them in the alleys of the Old City, to keep them away from the entire vicinity of Al-Aqsa.
Voices of takbeers rose from the worshipers after they were prevented from entering Al-Aqsa.
The young men performed the dawn and Eid prayers on the thresholds of the Old City and in its alleys.
On the other hand, joint crews from the municipality and the forces stormed neighborhoods in the town of Silwan.
The forces also stormed the village of Jabal Al-Mukabber and Silwan, and arrested a young man from the Abu Tayeh neighborhood in Silwan.
In the evening hours, the forces stormed the town of Silwan, and closed an intersection in the Wadi Hilweh neighborhood under the pretext of “the presence of a suspicious object.”
