Day 296 Jerusalem during “Al-Aqsa Flood” Operation

On the 296th day of "Al-Aqsa Flood Operation", the occupation authorities carried out a campaign of raids on towns and neighborhoods in the city of Jerusalem, and settlers continued to raid Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the forces carried out arrests from the city.

Raids, taxes and fines

Joint crews from the municipality and its various institutions, accompanied by the police and special forces, raided "Hosh Al-Mukhtar" in the town of Silwan in the early hours of Sunday morning, and raided shops, homes and residential buildings.

The Wadi Hilweh Information Center - Jerusalem, quoting residents, explained that the forces and various municipal crews raided the neighborhood for several hours, and issued random fines to merchants and residents ranging in value from 475 to 5,000 shekels, and the most prominent arguments were "the presence of boxes in front of shops... not putting up signs to prevent smoking... and the presence of an unused closet on the roof of a residential building."

The municipality also handed Issa Al-Abbasi a decision to self-demolish and remove a "plastic cover" from the roof of his house, and threatened to impose a fine if it was not removed.

The family noted that a fine of 28,000 shekels was imposed on the family a week ago. The municipality crews also took measurements of the residential apartments and buildings in “Hosh Al-Mukhtar”.

Issawiya

The forces stormed the village of Issawiya late in the evening, and arrested the young man Mohammad Darwish.

The center explained that the forces stormed the village and deployed at all its entrances, and during that they stormed a medical center, threw gas bombs and sprayed wastewater in the streets of the village.

In the afternoon hours, the forces set up a checkpoint at the main entrance to the village, and issued dozens of fines after stopping vehicles, and also revoked the licenses of a number of vehicles.

Prison sentence

The District Court sentenced Mohammad Ali Attoun for 54 months "4 and a half years" in prison, and Issam Mohammad Attoun for 50 months "4 years" in prison.

The forces arrested the two young men from the village of Sur Baher a year and a half ago, and they were subjected to long and harsh investigations in the occupation's cells.

Al-Aqsa Mosque

262 extremist settlers and Jewish students stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque through the Dung Gate, under the protection of the occupation forces.

The settlers performed their prayers during the storming of Al-Aqsa.

Arrests

The forces carried out separate arrests in the city of Jerusalem, which included 4 Jerusalemites.
