Day 299 Jerusalem during “Al-Aqsa Flood” Operation
On the 299th day of "Al-Aqsa Flood Operation", Jerusalem towns witnessed nightly confrontations and a strike in the city, mourning and condemning the assassination of the head of the political bureau of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, and one of his companions in Tehran. Settlers continued to storm Al-Aqsa, and municipal crews stormed the towns and neighborhoods of Jerusalem.
Nightly confrontations and raids
Shu’fat refugee camp, Issawiya and Silwan witnessed confrontations between forces and young men.
In Shu’fat refugee camp, forces stormed the streets of the camp after completely closing the military checkpoint set up at its entrance, then randomly threw tear gas bombs.
The Wadi Hilweh-Silwan Information Center learned that the forces used live ammunition in the streets of the camp, in addition to tear gas, sound bombs and rubber bullets, while young men responded with stones, firecrackers and Molotov cocktails.
The closure of the checkpoint led to traffic jams in the streets leading to it from the Jerusalem side to enter the camp, and in the streets of the camp to exit it.
The forces deliberately threw gas bombs towards residential buildings. In the village of Issawiya, the forces closed the main entrance to the village, then stormed the streets and neighborhoods, threw bombs towards homes, and sprayed wastewater heavily in the streets. It is noteworthy that the water "is chemical water with a foul smell similar to the smell of "sewage water" and causes suffocation and burns to the eyes and face and remains attached to the body or streets "where it was sprayed" for several days.
In the afternoon, the forces stormed the village of Issawiya and arrested two young men.
In the town of Silwan, the forces stormed the neighborhoods of Bi’er Ayoub and Ein Al-Lozeh, and threw bombs towards the homes.
The occupation forces severely beat a young man after stopping him while riding his motorcycle.

The strike spread throughout the city of Jerusalem, and shops in the main markets and towns closed their doors.
Settler incursions
161 extremists stormed Al-Aqsa during the morning and afternoon incursions, through the Dung Gate, and performed prayers during the incursion.
Restrictions imposed on the entry of worshipers to Al-Aqsa continue, as the forces remain stationed at its gates, checking the identities of all arrivals, and randomly preventing entry, especially for young men.
Municipal raids
The municipality crews and police also raided the village of Issawiya, and photographed some facilities.
