August 9, 2024

On the 308th day of "Al-Aqsa Flood Operation", the occupation authorities imposed restrictions on the entry of worshipers to Al-Aqsa, while the forces stormed the Batn al-Hawa neighborhood in the town of Silwan and assaulted the residents, and clashes broke out in the Shu’fat refugee camp in Jerusalem.

Al-Aqsa…Continuous restrictions

The occupation authorities prevented hundreds of worshipers from entering Al-Aqsa, and placed iron barriers on the roads leading to it, while they were stationed at the gates of Al-Aqsa and the Old City.

The worshipers explained that the occupation forces stationed at the gates of Al-Aqsa stopped young men and boys as they were arriving to the mosque, and prevented hundreds of them from entering it, after checking their IDs and forcing them to stand against the walls.

The forces also searched the worshipers "women and elderly" before they entered Al-Aqsa "inspecting their bags”.

The forces arrested two young men after severely beating them.

The forces were deployed in Al-Aqsa during the prayer.

The Islamic Endowment Department estimated the number of worshippers that performed Friday prayers in Al-Aqsa at 40 thousand worshipers.

Silwan…Assault and arrest

The occupation forces stormed the Batn al-Hawa neighborhood in the town of Silwan, assaulted the residents by beating them and randomly fired grenades, and stormed a number of homes.

The forces arrested the head of the Batn al-Hawa neighborhood committee, Zuhair al-Rajabi, and transferred him for investigation.

The forces also searched young men in the neighborhoods of Silwan and its main streets, and searched vehicles thoroughly.

The forces searched ambulances at the intersections of the town of Silwan.
